CONCERN

It has come to our attention that, as of Tuesday, January 3rd 2023, the US state of Louisiana has brought into effect a law fully requiring pornographic websites to age-verify all users originating from Louisiana - prior to allowing them access to site content.

Additionally, this new law provides liability and damages toward website operators who don’t do so.

As the bill describes, this would apply to websites containing 33% -or- more of the following:

- Any of the following material that exploits, is devoted to, or principally consists of descriptions of actual, simulated, or animated display or depiction of any of the following, in a manner patently offensive with respect to minors:

- Pubic hair, anus, vulva, genitals, or nipple of the female breast.

- Touching, caressing, or fondling of nipples, breasts, buttocks, anuses, or genitals.

- Sexual intercourse, masturbation, sodomy, bestiality, oral copulation, flagellation, excretory functions, exhibitions, or any other sexual act.

While it is MxM policy that no adult sexual content is permitted in the pornographic sense, we allow it within the kink/fetish context. And since a lot of our content could be interpreted as being within this new Louisiana law regardless, it is safer not to operate within assumptions - and instead with caution.

Effective Immediately:

- In the interest of uninterrupted service, allexisting Louisiana-residing users will be required to present ID in order to use / continue to use this service

- For obvious reasons, NO exceptions can be made

- Existing Louisiana users who are not already verified will be frozen until verification is completed

- New users identified as accessing MxM from Louisiana will be frozen until verification is completed

Compliance Measures In Progress:

- MxM is working with its developer to consider what additional age verification controls should be implemented to keep the community legally compliant.

- MxM is working with its developer to enable a screening process for new members
